Recommended dimensions for the mast base

Concrete foundations for poles with anchorage in the ground, or on a foundation flange under optimum subgrade conditions, should have approximately the dimensions given in the following table. In order to determine the correct concrete foundation, a check calculation should be made for the actual soil bearing capacity and also to verify that the dimensions of the mast and the concrete foundation are the same. In addition, the position and slope for the cable entry into the mast and the correct position of the opening on the mast from the ground level must be observed. Correct design will ensure easy passage of the cable into the mast. It is recommended that a drain hole be created in the concrete foundation.
